I also cover movies, video games, comic books and novels, largely in the fantasy, science-fiction, horror and superhero genres. Some of my favorite video games to play and write about include Dark Souls, Elden Ring, Call Of Duty, XCOM, Mass Effect, Titanfall, The Witcher and many other action, RPG and shooter games. My favorite films include Braveheart, Tropic Thunder, Arsenic and Old Lace, Schindler's List and far too many others to list here. I often discuss the \"pop culture wars\" and how shifting cultural values impact our art and entertainment. I am a game designer with over 15 years worth of game credits and industry experience. My work includes licensed games based on worlds like Star Wars, Star Trek and Firefly, classic game worlds like Dungeons & Dragons and Shadowrun and my own creations like Camelot Trigger and Save Game. I play a wide variety of games as part of Theatre of the Mind Players and have been the guest of honor at several conventions. I live with my family in Wisconsin, born near the heart of RPGs (and just a few short years younger than they are).

Mahjong games are traditional puzzles that are very popular to play online. Two of the most popular titles are Mahjong Connect and Mahjong Classic, which are exactly what you expect from a regular game in this category. You can find more modern twists in games like Mahjong Candy.

Puzzle games encompass games with a focus on solving puzzles. Many of these games are traditional logic, word, and tile-matching games like Mahjong. As time has progressed, puzzle games have evolved to include immersive story-driven games with intricate problems to overcome before reaching the next level.

This page contains a collection of small computer programs whichimplement one-player puzzle games. All of them run natively on Unix(GTK), on Windows, and on Mac OS X. They can also be played on theweb, as Java or Javascript applets.I wrote this collection because I thought there should be more smalldesktop toys available: little games you can pop up in a window andplay for two or three minutes while you take a break from whateverelse you were doing. And I was also annoyed that every time I found agood game on (say) Unix, it wasn't available the next time I wassitting at a Windows machine, or vice versa; so I arranged thateverything in my personal puzzle collection will happily run on boththose platforms and more. When I find (or perhaps invent) furtherpuzzle games that I like, they'll be added to this collection and willimmediately be available on both platforms. And if anyone feels likewriting any other front ends for platforms I don't support (whichpeople already have) then all the games in this framework willimmediately become available on another platform as well.The gamesThe actual games in this collection were mostly not my invention;they are re-implementations of existing game concepts within myportable puzzle framework.
